The name Megatron can refer to several different characters or concepts:
- 1984 — Megatron, leader and sometimes founder of the Decepticons from Generation 1. For toys of this character, see Megatron (G1) toys.
- 1987 — The Megatron Corps, Galvatron's legion of Megatron clones from The Transformers manga series.

- 1999 — Megatron, a mythological figure in the Covenant of Primus.
- 1999 — Megatron X, a mysterious silver-colored version of Beast Wars Megatron from Transformers: Beast Wars Transmetals.

- Mechatron, a Beast Rider from Beast Machines.
- Megabolt, Decepticon emissary from Robots in Disguise.
- Megastorm, younger brother of Galvatron from Beast Wars II.
- Megastar, Robots in Disguise Megatron's starship/base.
- Characters named Megazarak.
- Mega-Dinobot, the combined form of Grimlock and Swoop from Energon.
- Mega-Octane, leader of the Decepticon Commandos from Robots in Disguise.
- Mega the female Godmaster from Masterforce, who with her husband Giga forms Overlord
