The Hydrax Plateau is a location on Cybertron from the Generation 1, live-action film and the Transformers Animated continuity families.

The Hydrax Plateau is an island in the center of the Rust Sea. It holds Cybertron's primary spaceport, where planetary visitors must check in first.^[1]

During the Great War, the Decepticons used Cosmic Rust as main weapon against the Autobots stationed on the Hydrax Plateau, carelessly taking a few of their own soldiers down as well. Ratchet was sent there to look for survivors, which he found in the Decepticon Oil Slick. As a dutiful medic, Ratchet helped him regardless of allegiance, only to find out the Cosmic Rust was Oil Slick's personal work and be infected himself. Down but not out, Ratchet managed to retrieve the antidote they just made and took it back with him to be analyzed at the Ministry of Science. 'Bots of Science
