Cliffjumper (Animated)
From Transformers Wiki
| The name or term Cliffjumper refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Cliffjumper (disambiguation). |
- Cliffjumper is an Autobot from the Transformers Animated continuity family.
Due to his temper, Cliffjumper never made it as a spy. He does excel at collecting data from those who did, however, and presents this information to his superiors. Given the data that passes in front of his optical sensors, he's pretty high-strung regarding potential Decepticon attacks, and always ready for a brawl. He also takes care of Sentinel Minor's dirty work.

Cliffjumper accompanied Sentinel Minor, listening wordlessly while the latter was whining about lamenting his superior in regards to the glitches with whom he was stuck. When asked about the echo that Sentinel was hearing, he gave no reply. He was seen again when Wasp was ejected from Autobot boot camp. He had the honor of carrying out the traitor, who was strapped to a treaded carrier. (Too bad they got the wrong guy...) Autoboot Camp

[edit] Animated
- Cliffjumper (Activators, 2008)
- A retool of "Activators" Bumblebee, with a new head sculpt that closely resembles the character's sole cartoon appearance. He automatically transforms from vehicle to robot mode via spring-loaded releases when you press his top-mounted police light.
[edit] Trivia
- His character design is a reference to his Generation 1 appearance, who is often a redeco of Bumblebee.
- Character designer Derrick J. Wyatt personally requested this page be moved to "Cliffjumper (Animated)", versus "Little red Autobot." Though he wasn't named such in his only appearance thus far, Wyatt's say-so is official enough for us! Plus it helps that there's now a toy being produced with the name.
- It was stated in an interview with Marty Isenberg that Cliffjumper was originally supposed to be the Autobot framed for being a spy, but Hasbro ruled against the idea.[1]
